CA Ban On Gender Notification Policies Imminent

On June 27th the California Assembly approved AB 1955, a ban on Gender Notification Policies in California. It is expected it will be signed into law by the governor. This bill affirms support for our kids across California as well as protecting employees at our districts.

This past Monday, June 24th, the CA Public Employment Relations Board ruled in favor of teachers here in Rocklin fighting this type of policy. This is in addition to the CA Department of Education suing the district over the same policy after repeated warnings that it was illegal.

We look forward to celebrating with the board majority at the next meeting! Board President Saathoff has many times discussed her problems with the lack of clarity of existing laws, so we expect her to be overjoyed at this latest development.
