School vouchers have been implemented in several states, giving taxpayer money to private and religious schools for instruction. Supporters of these measures champion them as a win for everyone, and some even state they will save money for taxpayers.

But, as it turns out:

…the parents most likely to apply for these vouchers are the ones who were already sending their kids to private school or homeschooling. They use the dollars to subsidize what they were already paying for.

School vouchers are a long-term goal of those pushing their religion into public schools, including our current board majority. Board President Saathoff’s sister, another Destiny Minister, is married to CA Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, who is a longtime proponent of school vouchers. President Saathoff’s employer, CA Assemblyman Joe Patterson, is also a supporter of school vouchers; we haven’t had official word but her former employer Destiny Church runs a school, so we’re assuming they are in favor of vouchers as well.
